| Joseph Allen was born in Kensington, MDX c1803. He married Amelia Overton (from Salisbury) in Kensington in 1825. Their youngest child, Elizabeth Amelia Allen was born in Salisbury in 1840. Amelia Allen died in 1852. Joseph then married a widow, Frances Stone (nee Garnish) 8th Feb 1853 in Chelsea. Frances already had three children of her own. The Allen family then emigrated to Fremantle, West Aust aboard the 'Clara' in 1853. Joseph and Frances had a further three children in West Aust. Joseph Allen died at the Colonial Hospital in Perth 5th Sep 1860. He is buried at the East Perth Cemetery. |
