Kate (Catherine) Grady was born in Tipperary in 1849. She arrived in West Aust in 1866 with brother Patrick in 1862. Although only 15 years old at the time, she married Arthur Melbin in 1864.
In 1911 Kate Melbin (nee Grady) married Henry Thomas Blake.
Kate was buried with her first husband Arthur Melbin at Northam Cemetery.
