John Watson was born in Scotland c1791. He married Ann (perhaps Ann Marlow?). In the 1841 Census the Watson family is living at 72 Milton Street in the parish of St Giles in Cripplegate.
1841 Census. John is a silversmith, wife Ann works in a ship chandler's shop and son David is an apprentice silversmith. Both William & Catherine are scholars.
72 Milton Street no longer exists. This section of the street is now part of the Whitbread Brewery. Here Ross Watson stands in front of the Brewery gates pointing up to the Milton Street sign.
